The corpse bride o Corpse Bride in Castilian it is the title of one of Tim Burton's films. In my opinion, the setting, the story and the characters make it a film that can be represented in ink. Each character has a symbolism, a clear way of being that corresponds to a specific feeling.
You can continue reading to learn the history of each of these characters, as well as what they represent. This item may contain small spoilers.
Corpse Bride, Emily
As you can imagine, it is the female lead. Throughout the movie, you don't know what to make of her. Is it good or bad? But the truth is that you end up fond of her when you realize that everything she does stems from her suffering. The character undergoes an evolution that can be carried out in ink: he stops being an abandoned character and ends up taking revenge. A tattoo of our corpse bride could symbolize strength and tenderness which ends up showing this character at the end of the feature film.
Victor van dort
Victor is the male lead. He is a rather clumsy man, which leads him to stumble several times. In an unfortunate moment (for him, he leaves us a great movie), he asks a girlfriend who is not the one he expects. Throughout the film we can see that he wants to run away from her, since his true love is not the one who chases him. However, learning about Emily's story, he feels compassion for her. If we thought about tattooing this character, We could think of the sincere love he professes for his uncorpse girlfriend, as well as the compassion that makes us love him.
Leftovers
And here I present my favorite character: the dog Leftovers. Let's say that, in the movie, it is not very alive, but it continues with that enthusiasm for its owner that is evident in these animals. What I remember most is that, during her reunion with Victor, he gave her the order to play dead. The animal, neither short nor lazy, stays still, because it is already dead. In addition to the love for animals, getting this character tattooed could mark the energy of this pet on the skin, as well as the deepest love for his human friend.
Others
Of course, we do not have to tattoo only one of the characters. We can mix the main ones or, even, put some more of all those living and dead that swarm throughout the film.
And it is that the characters in this story make you love them more and more with each passing minute. Which one is your favorite?
