This will be the first of a series of articles in which I will talk about the different styles of tattoos that exist today.. Although there are tattoo artists who have their particular style, all of them start from one of the styles that we will describe in this series of articles. Obviously, there are some well-known types of styles such as or "Old School" or, in this case, the realistic style. Which we will talk about today.
Although we cannot say that the realistic style within the world of tattoos has a “history”, its own name indicates what type of tattoos we will find ourselves with.. The realistic style or portrait, have had a certain evolution in recent years. Initially made exclusively in black and white (to give reflections and depth to the design), nowadays we can find authentic artists who dominate this style.
We have a clear example in Spain. I mean the Tattoo artist Fredy from Exotic Tattoo. Their works speak for themselves. If the tattoo artist performs a realistic style work on us and is trained to do so, our tattoo will come to look like a real photograph on our skin. For the most part, these tattoos are often used to capture family members, celebrities and pets that are no longer with us on the skin.
Unlike other styles whose origins may have been influenced by some urban fashion. The realistic style was born in the world of tattooing when tattoo machines allowed us to make the authentic works of art that we can see on the skin of many people.
