What are tattoo inks made of?

Some time ago we told you about the types of paints, today we are going to tell you that the tattoo inks are made. We already know that each ink will give a special touch to our design, but all of them are made up of some ingredients that we are going to share with you today.

We start with the Red ink, This is one of the colors that causes the most allergic reactions, since it is made from mercury, and therefore it can generate many allergies, which will appear after years of having the tattoo done, and therefore we bring you an alternative, the carmine ink that it is made based on insect shells, something more natural for our skin and that we make sure that the lack of an allergic reaction is one hundred percent.

We continue with the blue, is made with cobalt salts and this can cause hypersensitive reactions that can cause granulomas. We cannot find a substitute for this ink in particular.

Now let's go for the black ink, perhaps the most widely used of all, is made with charcoal and it is rare for it to cause allergies. It does not contain metal derivatives, although it can sometimes contain phenol, an element that can cause reactions.

La yellow ink, contains cadmium and cadmium sulfite, which as a general rule will not give us problems at the level of allergies.

If in the case of black ink we have said that there are usually no problems, in its opposite color, the target, the ink is made from titanium or zinc oxide and these substances are highly allergic, so we must be very careful with this type of ink.

To finish the ink violet and purpleBoth are derived from magnesium and can cause granulomas in the tattoo, although this reaction is not common.

These could be considered to be the most used colors in the world of tattoos, so we will leave it here, as you can see we must be careful with what types of ink we use on our skin.
