The next 25 February there will be a marathon of tattoos for solidarity purposes. It is not a very common initiative in Spain, although for some time there are more and more tattooists and studies who join in carrying out this type of activities to raise funds for a beautiful cause. And in this case, it's about fighting cancer. The Bull Tattoo studio is the one behind this tattoo marathon.
It will last 12 hours, time during which the tattoos made will have a much more affordable price (there is talk of discounts of 50%) and whose funds raised will be allocated entirely to the association "We are United" against cancer. Jordi Cortés, manager of Bull Tattoo, commented that this initiative arose after seeing the good results of another marathon organized by the Alma Mater de Santander study, which managed to raise 7.000 euros for a local association of children affected by Duchenne syndrome.
Cortés has pointed out that for This 12-hour marathon will be attended by tattoo artists such as David Poncela, Lolo Art, Diego G. Torres and Álex Bumble. On the other hand, it should be noted that during the tattoo marathon you will not be able to choose your own design, since the studio will make available to the clients who participate a series of preset sheets with a size of 3 × 3 or 4 × 4 cm. Some tattoos that, according to the manager of Bull Tattoo, have a normal price of 60 euros, will be charged at 30 euros respectively.
For the tattoo marathon we will also have the presence of companies such as Bulm Tattoo, Nuclear White or TattooShop that will provide the material to make the tattoos, from ink to needles. Personally (and I can say that on behalf of the entire team at Tatuantes) we congratulate the tattoo artists and organizers of this marathon for such a beautiful initiative. If I lived near Lugo I would surely participate to get a tattoo for this beautiful cause.
