How to avoid scabs on the tattoo

scabs tattoo

I remember that in my first tattoo I got scabs because I was young and I knew how to take good care of the wound involved in getting a tattoo, but in all my subsequent tattoos it did not happen to me again, because I learned from the experience. When you get a tattoo for the first time, you think that with a few basic care it will be more than enough to show off a spectacular tattoo in a short time, but this is not the case. You must take care of your tattoo so that you do not get scabs and above all, so that the wound heals well.

Because a tattoo is an open wound that must heal, and when it finishes healing is when the tattoo will be forever on your skin. There are some small scabs that come off and fall off on their own, but when a tattoo becomes hard scabbed it's because you haven't taken proper care of it.

There are scabs that are less important than others because there is a peeling skin and this is a natural process in wound healing since air drying is essential. The scabs have to dry and fall off the tattoo naturally. If the scabs that are created are removed by yourself or accidentally pulled off prematurely, it can cause discoloration in your tattoo.

To avoid scabs, your tattoo when it is just finished, the artist will have to wrap it with plastic wrap and protective cream for tattoos, thus you will be protecting it from scratches, clothing or bacteria that can infect the wound. If the wound is air dried too quickly, it will scab over. You will have to follow the artist's advice and change the plastic wrap after a few hours and repeat it until 24 hours have passed. This will prevent scabs from forming that can deteriorate your tattoo and you will also avoid infections.

Since the scab images on tattoos are quite unpleasant, I prefer to show you below great tattoos well healed by having properly followed the healing instructions.

Hello. 20 days ago I got a tattoo, they told me that the following days I was going to heal on its own, I followed the instructions that I take care, but to this day it has not flaked me as they told me it would happen in the following week after its preparation normal?
I will also go swimming in the next few days, do you need any special care?
