Most people with tattoos are proud to display their body art whenever they have the opportunity to do so, but always there may be times when some might feel more comfortable hiding their tattoos. It can be at the time of your wedding, at a job interview, at a family reunion, etc.
But it is not necessary that you have to go to a professional to cover a tattoo nor that you have to spend a lot of money on a special makeup. Anyone can cover a tattoo you just have to know how to do it to do it correctly. Do not miss the following steps to be able to do it yourself.
- You will have to prepare the tattooed area with a cotton ball and clean it with alcohol, thus removing excess oil from the pores.
- Cover the area with a small foundation that matches your skin color. It is better if it is an oil-free base so that it sticks better to the skin.
- When the makeup base has dried it is necessary to start hiding the tattoo. Black ink is tricky, but a good idea is to do it with a full coverage sponge and move carefully to cover everything, you will have to be patient.
- Then you will have to apply a layer of concealer for dark circles that suits the color of your skin (in the tattoo area). Sometimes the ideal is to combine a concealer of a darker shade with another of a lighter shade, so you can find the perfect shade.
- You can use a flat synthetic brush to apply the concealer for full coverage.
- To fix the makeup you can apply an invisible loose powder (translucent powder) with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Remember that it is better to touch when applying, do not rub with the brush or you will get worse results.
