We have talked a couple of times about tattoo pain and the worst areas to get tattooed. In fact it is something that I include in every post about body areas because it seems relevant to me. Each person is a world and therefore tolerance to pain as well as sensitivity to it may differ, the pain threshold that Loreto speaks of; But there is something you should keep in mind: some areas hurt yes or yes.
Therefore, before getting tattooed seriously consider if that is where you want the tattoo to go, that is the drawing (shape, size) and if you will really tolerate the pain. If you are convinced, choose a tattoo artist whose professionalism you trust to make the experience more relaxed and follow their previous advice.
Do not go drugged, sedated or with alcohol in your blood to escape: they are vasodilators and you may have a dislike.
Enduring pain during tattooing
Get into the position indicated by the tattoo artist and relax. Evade your mind: it's simple, just focus on something else: a thought, music, a movie on a laptop. There are very effective mind control techniques based on breathing that will allow you to disconnect from pain.
Be honest with the tattoo artist: if it hurts too much, if the posture is very uncomfortable, if you are getting dizzy: TELL HER. For your health and for the quality of the tattoo, since you will end up moving, making the process difficult. If you need a break, ask for it, as well as if you need to get the tattoo done in several sessions.
Accept the pain: it is part of the process, it is not torture, it is an intrinsic experience of the tattoo, let yourself be embraced by it and then let it go. You have chosen to get tattooed: you can handle it. And if not, nothing happens, this is not a test to overcome, it is your life.
