The experience of getting tattooed at LTW Tattoo with Javier Rodriguez

Tattoo by Javier Rodriguez

I will not say anything new if I say that today is the end of the year. We are in a few hours to say goodbye to this year 2014 and say hello to 2015. Leaving aside the first mistakes that we will make in this imminent new year when writing the date of the day, I would like to share with all of you a recent experience that I have had just a few weeks ago. I speak of the experience of having tattooed at the LTW Tattoo studio in Barcelona with Javier Rodriguez.

A few months ago I finally decided to go through the hands of one of the main tattoo artists on the international scene (in my opinion). Obviously, after suffering a waiting list of several weeks (logical if we take into account that among his clientele there are soccer stars such as Leo Messi or Dani Alves), finally it was time to get on a train and make a trip of more than seven hours to be in Barcelona.

Leaving aside unimportant issues about the trip in question, let's say I stand on Las Ramblas in Barcelona and I get ready to look for the tattoo studio. The first surprise is when I barely walk a few minutes I see the poster of LTW Tattoo and I see that the entire study is under construction. A few meters further on there is a provisional studio in which with little space, the tattooists have temporarily settled in as they remodel their studio.

After waiting a few minutes it arrives Javier Rodriguez, we introduce ourselves and he gets to work to make in situ the sketch of the tattoo that I had previously told you about by mail. In just a few minutes he shows me a first sketch that fits perfectly with what I was looking for. Soon after I find myself sitting up and ready to get tattooed. The truth is, if there is something that I would like to highlight about Javier, it is his great personality.

To date, she had never been able to meet him in person and the only thing she knew about him was his jobs. The less I would define him as a fun person and that tattooing with him is quite a show. A more than pleasant experience that I will repeat very soon. My idea is to make a whole manga with him.

By the way, as a final detail I would like to emphasize that once tattooed, they give you a sample of Aquaphor with which to cure the tattoo. A detail that is appreciated since few studies do something like this.

    Good,

I've been following Javier Rodríguez and others from LTW for a long time. I wanted to get a tattoo of your size, could you tell me the approximate price of yours? And the waiting time?

    Thank you very much

    Hi Miguel,

In the first place and in my case (I am talking about last year) when I asked for an appointment the waiting list was in about three weeks. When I was tattooing with Javier he told me that now he was also starting to tattoo in a studio in Copenhagen so I don't know if he will be less in Barcelona now (when I went he was tattooing on Saturday and Sunday).

As for the price, Javier's rate is around € 250 and € 300 per session. And 300 euros was what the tattoo that you can see in this post cost me. I hope I have answered your doubts.

    A greeting!
